According to a Straits Times report on 16 January 2018, there has been a pickup in interest from buyers in the high-end residential market. In the 3rd quarter of 2017 alone, there were 1,374 caveats (sales transactions) for both new and resale homes in the Core Central Region (CCR) – a record high over the past 5 years.

The report also stated that based on URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority) data, the projected supply of new homes in the CCR will be less than 1,000 units per year from 2018 to 2020. Given this limited supply of new luxury residential projects, demand is expected to outstrip availability.
