    The Ramford is set within an almost exclusively low-rise private residential estate, surrounded mainly by a mix of landed houses and other similar apartment developments. There are some old shophouses around the corner too, that house an odd assortment of neighbourhood shops.

    This area is typical of the Joo Chiat / Katong district – an eclectic hodge podge of architectural styles spanning several decades that include delightful peranakan shophouses, intersected by a bewildering maze of small roads.

    All that adds up to an ambience that gives the East Coast its own special character and appeal. So much so, that residents who grow up here, almost never move away. Even when they set up their own homes, they often try to stay within the vicinity. If they can afford too, they would opt for places near Parkway Parade and the upcoming Marine Parade MRT station. Such as at Amber Park and Amber45.

    But if budget is a constraint and won’t stretch that far, then places like the Ramford condo make a good alternative. They are much more affordable, still on freehold tenure, and within the East Coast near the Raffles Place / Marina Bay financial districts. They are often in quieter areas too. Residents here, having lived without an MRT system for so long, are pretty used to taking buses, which service the neighbourhood quite well.

    The Ramford condo site is a narrow rectangular plot of land. It fronts Rambai Road on its north-east, and a small cul-de-sac of Rambai Road on its north-west. On its south-east is a landed house, while at the back is Everitt Apartments with some space in between.

    So it has a generally open outlook. Rambai Road is a small 2-lane road, which means there won’t be much traffic noise.

    1. Location. The Ramford location is in the mature Katong / Joo Chiat residential estate, one of the most well loved residential districts in Singapore in the East Coast of Singapore. Fans of the East Coast extoll it’s central location, the proximity to the East Coast Beaches nearby, the sense of peace and quiet charm, and the food.

    2. Food & Dining Options. Especially the food. The East Coast area is well known as a food haven. Here you can find some of the most mouth-watering, tastiest, and widest choices of foods around. Culinary delights, both old-time hawker and cosmopolitan fare, and new fusion foods, can be found scattered all around.

    3. Schools. The Ramford condo location should appeal to families with young children who are looking for a home within 1km of a good school. Not only is it within 1km of Tao Nan Primary School and CHIJ Katong Primary, it is also within 5 minutes walk of Haig Girls school.

    4. Nearest MRT Station. If you are looking for somewhere within walking distance of an MRT station, then Ramford condo is not for you. It is almost equally positioned between the Eunos MRT station and the future Marine Parade MRT station, but is almost 1.2km walking distance from either one.
